We are looking for an experienced and talented Backend developer, who feels right at home in a fast-paced environment. You quickly grasp new technologies and are always looking for new better ways to solve complex problems. You enjoy making beautiful products with an amazing user experience. You will get the opportunity to work on a product that is in its infancy and can drive the direction of the current and future products.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with our design and engineering team to implement and iterate on features.
• Meaningfully contribute to the product and core backend systems by suggesting improvements with the entire team.
• Design, implement or improve features in a variety of backend systems including our REST APIs, data ingestion and processing systems and distributed task/job processing systems.
• Document and educate the rest of the team on design/architecture best practices.
• Develop great features in hours and days, not weeks and months.

Background:

• Familiarity with server side MVC web frameworks and REST APIs .
• Rigor in high code quality, automated testing, and other engineering best practices .
• Experience with service oriented architecture.
  
• Strong industry experience in architecture and development of scalable production quality backend systems. 
• Experience with monitoring and alerting platforms is a plus.
• Knowledge of AWS/Azure or similar eco-system is a plus.
