The development of technology has always been an important factor in human development. As hunters and gathers, we created spears and other "simple" tools to get food. As farmers we developed the plow. With the industrial revolution we transformed food production. We developed biotechnology to influence it at the seed level. With more focus on career, we began to produce ready meals. Computers in our households made it easier to get the food on the door. But how can today's digital technology revolutionize and lead us to the next stage? 

We in Farmpit has taken this question into our minds and made it a part of r core mission of our company and what we do. Not because we want to make a sh*%load of money, but because the current situation regarding sustainability and an increasing number of population in the world. By 2050, we have 9 billion individuals on the surface of the earth. The food industry today already has an overloading effect on the environment due to the fact that a third of the earth that is not covered with water, is used for agriculture. How we use technology and develop new digital services today to feed the world may be the biggest issue of this generation.How we use technology and develop new digital services today to feed the world may be the biggest issue of this generation and Farmpit is here to attack that issue.

We are building our founding team with an UX/UI Designer and frontend developer that has experience or is showing a big talent. We use prototyping and research as equal parameters for designing our products and experiences.
Farmpit is now a working MVP that need to be developed into Farmpit version 1.0, ready for launch in January/February 2018. 

Responsibilities 

• Participate to the UX and UI design processes.
• Develop a top notch platform for the future agriculture and food industry.
• Develop our customer faced website and you will be responsible to ensure we get maximal conversions out of them together with other team members.
• Work closely togheter with CTO and the rest of the founding team.
• Contribute to improve our development processes and technology selections.

Skills and qualifications

• Excited about learning and creating new things and putting them into practice.
• have a great sense of design and usability.
• Good communication skills and comfortable speaking to groups.
• Proficiency with different development and designer tools.
• Have proven track record for building awesome web services and web apps
• Know what works and what doesn’t and when you don't you know how to find it out.
• You'll make a positive contribution in building the company culture and operations

Experience

• Few years or more experience and knowledge in HTML, SASS/CSS, JavaScript and php.
• Any prior experience with Git, React, Aurelia, Angular or similar frameworks and data driven A/B-testing is a plus.
• Track record shows that you can write beautiful and maintainable code that any of your colleagues can understand and contribute to.
• You don´t need to have a college og university degree. Show us what you have done and what you can do!
