Rainmaking Venture is building a simple alternative to car ownership together with a leading Nordic car importer. The platform was launched in October 2016, and has grown rapidly since then. We are now looking to expand and grow in the home market and abroad. We are looking for an entrepreneurial, hands-on, Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to build and lead our development team in the creation of our product.

The role

• Be an active member of the core leadership group and shape the company strategy, particularly the product & technology strategy. Understand business requirements and dependencies, prioritize what to build, and deploy team accordingly.
• Develop, stabilize and deploy company’s consumer and partner facing products, including the web application, APIs and apps. To do this, the person needs to be a strong process manager (e.g., comfortable allocating work, planning sprints, monitoring progress and ensuring timely releases)
• Build / architect all engineering components (including hands on coding contribution)
• Mentor and scale-up the engineering team (including recruitment, retention and team performance management)

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science Engineering or eqvivalent
• 4+ Years of experience as a Sitecore and .NET developer and developed multiple sites
• Good understanding of Service Oriented Architecture, Distributed Systems and Middle-ware system and have hands on all three systems.
• Good knowledge on optimization of code and performance improvement and sound knowledge on code maintainability by refactoring code.
• Created different Knowledge Transfer documents and shared with the team and setup Knowledge Sharing sessions across different teams to leverage the learnt knowledge.
• Performing code review, design review and peer review for code written in .NET, Javascript and SQL
• Worked on architecting different enterprise level and small scale web applications and implemented the solution with the help of a team
• Fluent in Danish and English

• MS: SME on Sitecore CMS
• Languages: C#, Javascript, Jquery, CSS, SQL, HTML 5
• Databases: SQL Server, MongoDB
• IDEs: Visual Studio, SSMS

Desired Expertise and Experience

• 4+ years of experience leading and scaling an online B2C start-up or 4+ in top tier strategy consulting firm.
• Relevant technology experience in transport/automotive
• A proven track record of building successful products and scaling teams
• Experience managing corporate investor relationships
• Experience in launching and growing online platforms in new markets
