GUTXY is a microbiome testing service that uses gut health as a marker for optimizing wellness. We aim to help individuals make educated dietary and lifestyle choices using the microbiome as a tool.

We are at a very exciting stage, looking for a new strong core member to join the team! We have built our new website in Django, and are looking for someone to help optimize it, particularly for mobile. This role will involve consistently working to update and improve our platform. If you're a driven self-starter, with strong technical expertise and an entrepreneurial spirit, then this could be the position for you! 

You will be responsible for the design, programming, implementation and maintenance of the back-end of our platform. We are looking for a core team member, such that we expect you to have genuine interest in and commitment to the commercial aspects and development of GUTXY as a company.

Your profile:

Degree from an IT university, MSc in Computer Science, IT engineer or equivalent

Experience with lead development of Django back-end solutions for online uses

Strong business acumen

Attention to detail and high ethical standards for your work (quality-focused)

Value-driven personality, places a big emphasis on honesty and trust, open to a high feedback environment

Good communication skills

Genuine interest in the microbiome, health sciences and lifestyle is a plus

Start-up experience or strong corporate career is a plus

Personally, you have entrepreneurial spirit, you see challenges instead of problems and you have a desire to become co-founder of a team with all the responsibility, challenges, fun and hard work it involves. We are in it together so you must be a team player interested in both brainstorming and decision-making with your fellow co-founders as well working independently within your own field.

This is an unpaid position, lasting a minimum of 3 months.
