Job description

We are looking for a Software Quality Assurance Intern (Student assistant) responsible for ensuring the quality of the software products we build. Your primary focus will be on examining the software code and specification, and creating a plan for testing, execute upon them and track analytics for future process improvement. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of both testing server side code and client facing applications be self-sufficient and proactive in suggesting improvements.

The internship is open towards all type of applicants – mandatory internships, part-time intern while being enrolled at a university, or graduates.

Responsibilities

• Participate in software design process with suggestions on the QA aspect
• Review requirements, specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback
• Create detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases
• Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities
• Design, develop and execute automation scripts using open source tools
• Identify, record, document thoroughly and track bugs
• Track metrics on the QA process and suggesting improvements

Skills and qualifications

• Experience within software development and/or software quality insurance
• Knowledge of QA methodologies, tools and processes for back-end and front-end testing
• Writing clear and comprehensive plans as well as documenting the test cases and the results
• Experience with JavaScript, Query languages (SQL, CQL, MongoDB queries)
• Capability to write testing scripts (Python, NodeJS, etc.)
• Executing security and performance testing is a plus
