Rainmaking Studio is a venture development unit. We invent, build and launch startups with the world’s most influential companies (e.g. Danske Bank, Maersk and Jaguar Landrover). As a Studio engineer, you'll work with the technical, design, product and business development team in our office in Copenhagen.

You'll be involved all the way from idea generation through to them being live, tracking the results, and iterating to make them better. For this reason, this role is only suitable for someone who likes being closely involved in product — what to build and how it will work, as much as the technical implementation itself. This role is especially suited to someone who wants to found their own startup one day. All our current team are future founders and we view working here as an entrepreneurial bootcamp that will give you the necessary skills and experience to co-found a startup with us or on your own in the future. 

As a Senior Frontend Engineer you will use your skills to:

• Demonstrate and communicate a passion for implementing highly scalable and maintainable frontend services, and working with business specialists and visual designers to design optimal solutions
• Build smooth, stable and beautiful products
• Collaborate with a team of engineers, designers and key individuals across Rainmaking Studio to deliver empowering user experiences
• Communicate ideas with cross-functional teams in an effective manner
• Utilize a proactive and responsive approach to problem-solving
• Apply experience with HTML, CSS, Javascript and the latest JS frameworks (e.g. React)

As a Senior Frontend Engineer you will need:

• 3+ years of experience in professional software development, including 2+ years with the relevant languages and frameworks
• (Undergraduate) Degree or equivalent experience, for example BS/MS degree in computer science, software engineering or a similar subject
• Strong analytical and debugging skills
• Experience with native and/or hybrid mobile development (e.g.: iOS, Android, ReactNative)
• Strong knowledge of application and system architectures using design patterns, OOP and development best practices
• Understanding of backend and mobile technologies
• Provisioning and deployment in cloud environments
• A preference for working with cross-disciplinary teams to introduce and enhance behaviour and test-driven approaches
• A background working in teams using Agile approaches

• Web technologies such as HTML5, CSS3 (pre-processors), JS including current frameworks
• React Native
• Web services, REST and JSON interfaces
• Source code management systems e.g. Git and associated workflows
• Build automation tools and frameworks (Rake, Grunt, Gulp etc)
• Cloud services e.g. AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform
• Container and change management tools e.g. Docker
