The Role

As a data company during the past years we have collected tons of data. And data is at the heart of what we do every day. We depend on it to guide our users, calculate routes and make our service more efficient.

We are looking for a mathematical thinker with an affinity for numbers and how numbers matter. The desired candidate, will have the ability to mine and present data in a tangible way, pay attention to detail, communicate well and provide insight and analysis through a clear visual, both written and verbally.

Key responsibilities:

• Mine, organise and present existing data in a clear way
• Work closely with product and marketing teams

• Present key metrics and insight directly to the CEO

• Predict user behaviours and geolocate area with high interest based on past user interactions

Skills and Technical knowledge:

• Experience with SQL and/or other query based languages

• Familiarity with Excel, spreadsheets and BI platforms

• Hands-on experience with scripting languages like Python, Matlab

• Familiarity with statistical languages like R, SAS, SPSS

• Strong mathematical skills

• Excellent command of English language

• Problem solving and solution oriented personality

Not required but considered as a plus:

• Past experience or familiarity with Tableau, Hadoop, ElasticSearch, CouchDB

• Understanding of machine learning tools and techniques

• Knowledge of Norwegian
