Regional Customer Development Manager - Northern UK

The Regional Customer Development Manager is responsible for promoting Labster's virtual simulations with colleges and universities in the Midlands, Northern England, Scotland and Ireland. The right candidate can be based anywhere within this region, or in London, with extensive travel expected. You have to be passionate about STEM and the role that technology plays in teaching and learning.


Responsibilities:

  • Meet Sales quotas.
  • Subsidize in-bound inquires with meaningful prospecting efforts.
  • Develop a deep understanding of teaching and learning in higher education and the ability to credibly articulate that understanding.
  • Manage a broad range of opportunities from faculty-led paid pilots to large institutional enterprise deals.
  • Engage with a variety of titles, including faculty, head of school, and vice-chancellors.
  • Be well informed about current industry trends.
  • Utilize Salesforce, Labster's CRM on a frequent and consistent basis.
  • Keep abreast of competition, competitive issues and products.
  • Attend and participate in sales meetings, products seminars and trade shows, with the intent to cultivate opportunities and grow partnerships with existing clients.
  • Prepare written presentations, reports and price quotations. 
  • Lead contract negotiations.
  • Manage a regional forecast (monthly/quarterly, and annually).
  • Develop and deliver on regional territory plans.

Professional Qualifications:

  • A minimum of a bachelors degree; ideally with a focus on science.
  • 5+ years of enterprise education technology sales experience.
  • A history of exceeding sales goals.
  • Experience in selling to both executive leadership (vice-chancellors, heads of school) and faculty.
  • A history of building significant pipeline, utilizing modern prospecting techniques.
  • Experienced contract negotiator.
  • Formal training in complex selling methodologies (i.e Miller-Heiman, Solution Selling, etc. )
