As our ideal candidate, you are someone who is a hopeless pragmatic with a passion for building massively distributed systems with maximal reliability and availability.

You haven't stumbled upon a single impossible task in your life so far, your view of the world is one with endless possibilities. You like to talk about solutions and not problems. You understand that there is such a thing as a perfect amount of engineering, just between too much and too little. You are a quick learner who loves to get things done but you also understand that your team is your greatest asset.

Requirements:

• At least 2 years of industry experience as a software engineer
• Good understanding of distributed systems & networking
• Experience building test driven systems in dynamic languages
• Being able to work effectively with Linux/Unix systems

Nice to haves:

• BSc/MSc in Computer Science
• Building micro-service architectures
• Time-series and real-time stream processing
• Continuous deployment and other common agile practices
• Apache Cassandra
• RabbitMQ and/or Apache Kafka
• Infrastructure: Docker, CoreOS, Kubernetes        
• Msgpack, Protobuf, Avro
• REST-based approach to building APIs
