The Lofoten, Vesteraalen, Senja Coastlines Is a contentious political issue in Norway. The discussion about whether it should be opened for oil drilling here has been raging since the mid-1970s and is not yet over. The disagreement is between those who fear the consequences of a major oil accident would have on the natural environment and those who believe the likelihood of major impacts is low. A self-initiated project to do a preemptive information piece, to prevent the drill.
