UK Copywriter (part-time)

We are seeking a savvy wordsmith and content creator to join our marketing team as UK Copywriter in a part-time role.


ChurchDesk is on a mission to enable the church with user-friendly technology to be more for people. We are on an exciting startup journey that has taken us from Copenhagen to London and Berlin so far. We are a team of ambitious people who are inspired to think big and work hard. The company was established in 2010 and is backed by international investors. We’re a diverse group of 35 people with 11 different nationalities.

We are looking for a part-time/student copywriter to join our marketing team either at Islands Brygge, Copenhagen or potentially located in the UK at our London office or remote. The role is 10-20 hours per week with flexibility to fit your needs.

We are seeking a savvy wordsmith and content creator to join our marketing team. Candidates must have a knack and love for writing, and experience writing to achieve business goals. The role requires a high level of creativity, attention to detail, and project management skills.

You will have the responsibility of all UK written content and will be part of a team of copywriters focusing on other markets. You will be expected to sustain and develop the company's voice across all content and will lead the content planning and production for the UK. This means you will research relevant topics, interview customers, etc.

It’s a big plus if you have experience with the church or related organisations and already have a good understanding of the target audience, but it’s not a requirement and in fact most people who work here are not affiliated with a church.

Responsibilities:

  • Writing various types of content for our website, blog, social media, and other channels.
  • Providing feedback to other contributors, and editing other writers’ content.
  • Optimizing content for search engines and lead generation.
  • Contributing to long-form content projects such as ebooks.
  • Collaborating with the product, sales and customer success teams, and external influencers and industry experts to produce relevant content that meets the needs and interests of both key stakeholders and our audience.
  • Convincing others that your creative ideas are worth investing time and effort in.

Requirements:

  • A passion for and strong understanding of the church and our company mission
  • Native or bilingual UK English proficiency
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills, as well as the ability to adopt the style, tone, and voice of our business' various types of content.
  • Excellent organizational skills to work independently and manage projects with many moving parts.
  • Experience of writing, marketing or content creation for the web.
  • BA/BS degree or equivalent working experience or currently a student of a BA/BS degree or higher
