YardnBud is a new approach to sharing green space in the city, and we need a technical-minded champion like you to make it happen! Crunching big data, gamifying environmentalism, and smart matching of users: These will be your playground. If you have experience in software or web development, working closely with others, and are prepared to work flexibly, we'd love to talk to you.

Who we're looking for

This role can suit you in any point in your career: recently out of university with serious talent in software development and web design, or already established with previous technical leadership. But you should be young-at-heart, this is a new field and we need some very original solutions. You must be willing to evolve with the company and this new industry. You will be an extremely important part of the team - we are upfront and offering a large share of equity to reflect this.

Work weeks will vary, so you should be willing to design your own. Some weeks this will be 20 hours, others 5 hours. Until the platform is established and running, you will need to be driven from goal to goal. This will often require working remotely. You should also have a genuine interest in the purpose of the platform: using natural space more effectively, improving users' quality of life, and teaching a generation of city-inhabitants sustainability and gardening skills. 

You should be prepared to lead a team as the platform gains momentum. The platform does not yet have a code preference, so you should be a master of your favorite back-end language, and have some experience in HTML, CSS3 and PHP. This will be a ground-up project and no corners will be cut in designing an elegant and efficient software stack. As co-founder, you should also be willing to represent the company and sell to potential investors.
