You have a good set of Core knowledge around Linux and cloud-based infrastructure administration and have a good complementary skill set which can extend the team's expertise even further.

You are a hacker, a keen learner, an adept problem solver who believes that automation is the solution for operations tasks. You know how to code and don't get shy around software developers.

 

What's in store for you in your first month

  • Team up with your peers and solve well-defined tasks within our infrastructure such as configuring new servers, tune existing ones and dip your toes in how we could automate server configurations with configuration management.
  • Identify quick wins in the stack and act on them individually.

 

What's in store for you in six months

  • Participate in strategic projects, and deliver significant improvements on how we do software: Configuration.management, build/test automation, clustering solutions, or roll out a new data storage engine with the team.

 

What's in store for you in 12 months

  • You will be responsible for parts of the platform, and consulted/tasked to design new additions.
  • You will have the possibility to participate in big data projects from notonly configuration aspects.
  • Falcon has plenty of ground to cover and a multitude of interesting problems to solve.

 

Skills that would complement our team

  • Experience in implementing configuration management (chef, Puppet, Ansible)
  • Expertise in build and test automation.
  • Knowledge of Python, Node.js, Java or other languages.
  • Java based systems administration.
  • Cluster configuration and tuning of one more database engines (PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch or other)
