Twinbody is a health start-up with over 200.000 users. We are based in Copenhagen, Denmark and looking for a senior android developer to take lead on our native android app development. Everything backend is behind our API, so we're looking for an android wizz rather than a full stack profile. We ideally want developers in Copenhagen but are open to remote workers with the right qualifications.

WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?

You will take full lead on our Android development and report directly to the CTO where you will craft and develop our social health network as well as launch our health subscription product. You will take and have the freedom to make decisions, express yourself and improve your skills consistently. It is important to underline that we expect you to be the anchor of our android development, meaning that we require that you want and can think proactively in the way you develop the android app alongside our backend developer, iOS developer, CTO and product manager.

As a product, we are a social app for weight loss support, encouragement and inspiration and we are currently building a solid health subscription product on top. Twinbody as a company, is a technology start-up based in Copenhagen, Denmark. Our team of 8 unicorns are based in Copenhagen and remotely throughout Europe. After hypergrowth of over 200k users and recent solid venture funding, we are now expanding our team.

YOUR BACKGROUND AND PROFILE

• You have +4 years’ experience developing native android apps. 

• You have a relevant degree and likely graduated among the top 10% of graduates.

• You have broad knowledge about external libraries such as Firebase, Retrofit and Picasso and are used to adapting to new languages and technologies. Among our used languages and technologies on android can be mentioned gson, kotlin and dagger.

• You have an attention to detail in terms of user experience and find it natural to go into dialogue reg. design and UX with the product designer and business unit.

• You have experience of unit testing and other types of testing.

• You are comfortable in an agile development environment.

• You love apps, devices and challenges.

• You contribute to a good team atmosphere and help drive the process towards results and deadlines.

• You easily adapt to new technologies.

• Have flawless verbal and written communication skills in English.

• Self-driven, take ownership and can manage your own projects, but also play well in a team.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

• Android SDK

• Android framework experience: Camera (especially video recording), Location, Content Providers, Media Storage

• Java knowledge

• Client - server apps development experience (over REST)

• Retrofit experience

• RxJava skills

• Lombok knowledge

• Git knowledge

• Kotlin knowledge

• Experience in video related apps would be a plus (basic ffmpeg knowledge would be appreciated)
