Global Lighting Standard offers quick and efficient quality checks of street lamps, ensuring compliance with regulations and promised specifications. You will join a small team of 4 passionate people in a new university spinout from DTU, founded in November 2016. Since the company is so new, it is a really flexible working environment, and you will work closely with the founding team.


The Job

Your main tasks will be to assist with the business development of a new company in close collaboration with the CEO. The main focus will be how to scale our business through international partners, while getting pilot projects to further mature our service/technology. The danish home market and neighboring countries such as Germany will be first priority.

• You have to like a dynamic working space, with a lot of variation in your tasks, from day to day 

• Ability to manage your own time and tasks

• You have to be outgoing, and not afraid to take contact to people you don’t know.

• Excellent oral and written communication skills in English - Addtionionally German would be an advantage

• Some understanding of technology would be advantageous.

The internship is unpaid; you will however gain valuable experience in working in a start-up company, which means you will handle a lot of responsibility from the beginning, with lots of opportunities to make an impact. Furthermore you will get great opportunities to broaden your network, while working with an ambitious team of entrepreneurs and scientists.

We provide quality assurance and performance data for street lamps, through an easy overview in Google Earth, showing how each street lamp performs - Is the customer getting what it pays for or is there an energy saving potential?    We have developed the first mobile and efficient way of measuring light quality as well as light distribution from street lamps, in the form of a universal roof rack mountable to any car, ensuring compliance with street regulations and promised lamp specifications.         We are a founding team of 4, where two of us work full-time for the company. The other 2 are the inventors of the technology and work at DTU Risø, where we are located, giving the whole team daily contact. Addtionally we work closely with the DTU project DOLL We have a flexible and dynamic working environment, allowing people to manage their own time and tasks. Our office is located next to DTU scientist and another spinout company, Norlase, creating a diverse atmosphere.
